I salute Kim in this her first publication. I believe it can be utilized not only as a personal reading but encourage it to be read as a group study resource. It was a great joy reading Kim Bell’s first publication 7 Prescriptions for Raising Victorious Sons. She uses her professional experiences as a pharmacist to instruct the reader …you are encouraged and educated on some of the critical tools that a were used…”
In my opinion, Kim Bell has written a book that should be right up there with Dr. Jawanza Kunjufu’s book, Raising Black Boys.

Introduction
As a New Jersey State Registered Pharmacist, we are considered to be one of the top five most trusted professionals. We are trained to understand their prescriptions and to help patients get the best results from their medications. Hence the title of this publication, “7 Prescriptions for Raising Victorious Sons: A Mother’s Journey by Faith“. This book was in the making long before my three sons were born. It was a vision that was anchored by Faith in Jesus Christ.
As a young girl, I was blessed to grow up in a loving, hard working, family-centered Christian home. Being a Baby-boomer in the 60’s, it was a turbulent time in our history, however, our home was a place of stability and my parents stayed very focused to raise me and my older brother to the very best of their ability.
Coming from a successful family of medical professionals, entrepreneurs, educators, military professionals, professors and a lawyer, we were all expected to succeed. We were encourage to do our very best, represent our family and understand that we were standing on someone else’s shoulder. So the expectation of success was set early on as a child.
Some statistics on the generation today regarding our children are troubling to me, low achievement in education , lack of enrichment experience, poor social skills and lack of understanding their role in continuing a positive legacy. To parents who read this book, I pray you gain inspiration, knowledge and strength in raising your son, as I share some of my real-life experiences and God’s Wisdom.
As a fellow pharmacist, a mom of two precious boys, and a Christ follower, I believe this book is due for its time. Ms. Bell (known to many as Kim) has written from a wealth of experience having successfully raised 3 sons while working full time. I found this easy light reading very refreshing and I commend this as a pick-me-up for working moms who need a sort of compass to look up to while they are in the messy middle of raising boys who will go on to become strong men in their generation.
